Accessory maker Twelve South has just launched an innovative new 2-in-1 MagSafe charger called the ButterFly. This compact device can wirelessly charge both an iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time.
When closed, the ButterFly is about the size of an AirPods Pro case, making it ultra-portable. It unfolds to reveal a MagSafe charger puck for iPhones and a separate magnetic charger for Apple Watches. The two chargers are connected by a small vegan leather strap.
The ButterFly supports 15W MagSafe charging for iPhones and 5W fast charging for compatible Apple Watch models. This makes it more powerful than many competing 2-in-1 chargers.
It also comes with a 30W USB-C power adapter and interchangeable plugs, so it can be used internationally. The ButterFly is priced at $129.99, comparable to other premium MagSafe accessories.
In various orientations, the ButterFly can activate iOS 17’s StandBy Mode or the Apple Watch’s Nightstand Mode. So it doubles as a handy stand as well.
